I am happy to edit and critique short pieces (1500 words or less) for new writers. I charge $15 for every 500 words of text. For this fee, I will copyedit, proofread, and provide feedback on content, organization, and overall readability.  Please contact me for a quote and other details.

Besides being a published writer, I have a bachelor’s degree in English and have taken a variety of postgraduate writing courses, including children’s fiction and nonfiction writing, professional editing, memoir writing, magazine writing, and publishing management. I also work as a volunteer editor at my local middle school. Current and past memberships include the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators and the Maine Writers and Publishers Alliance.
